There is a “Kurumin Certification” system, which is approved by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare, for companies working to provide support for balancing work and child care.
One of the tools for researching companies is the “Shikiho Joshiban” (“Japan Company Handbook, Women’s Edition”) which contains (employee turnover rates, the status of leave taken and working conditions) information on female hiring, child care leave, career paths, etc. You can use this as a reference.
We also offer a database search service on the website that RU students can freely use (Toyo Keizai Digital Contents Library), so feel free to make use of it.*
*You need VPN connection off campus.
